Founded in 2016 by a young couple with a dream to reshape Zambia’s agricultural landscape, and a desire to provide wholesome produce to the community, Cherry-Pick started out as a small-scale farm growing strawberries. As the farm grew, so did the vision. Recognizing Zambia’s reliance on imported food as both a challenge and an opportunity, the business pivoted in 2020 from farming to value addition, transforming fresh produce into nutritious, dried fruit and nut snacks, providing year-round access to otherwise seasonal produce.
This shift turned Cherry-Pick into a proudly Zambian agro-processing company focused on building resilient and adaptable food systems, reducing food waste and empowering local farmers. Today, by aggregating fresh produce, processing, and distributing healthy fruit and nut snacks, Cherry-Pick promotes dietary diversity and offers Zambians year-round access to nutritious, non-perishable and tasty snack options.
